Couldn't agree more about the small town No Kings events!

Yes!! I love sharing those inspiring images and when people tell me about their community (red town voted for Trump by 50 points, or total population of 1500 or what have you) it makes it so much easier to frame the impact. 💙

Priceless solution to the angst of door knocking biblical solicitation.

I would love someone’s opinion on how to ask a potential doctor who they voted for (without pissing them off). Even better is if the question can be asked before the appointment.

I agree 100% with your friend. Stop being polite and start making them answer for themselves. Because they've done enough damage to this world.

I will never again trust ANYONE religious or anyone who admits to being republican or conservative. They're GARBAGE.

FYI - Here in Texas, Democrats have decided to knock on Republicans' doors. Why? Because we are an open primary state. We don't register by party. However, we do extrapolate partisan leanings by which party's primary ballot people pull. We are seeing a whole lot of Republican leaning people pull Democratic ballots. So we are going to fight Republicans for these voters and for the vast middle demographic of independent voters. Texas, just like any other state, is not a solid lock for Republicans unless they convince us to stand down and not fight them.

Well, let's fight them. Even if we don't win, it will still be very satisfying to try rather than just passively accept defeat by not even trying.

While some of us may have been hoping for a short video of you performing one of your original songs in a local coffee house, this is equally good! The stories about the health care are heartbreaking and further proof the Republican party has no heart. And I appreciate so much when you make a recommendation and say this place is a good place to send some money (so I did, to Rural Ground Game). We all get so many requests for money I never know what is a good place to donate to and which already either have a lot of money or are so top heavy with the salaries of the folks running the show that not much gets down to the ground level. I don't have much money to donate and want to be as useful as possible. If I am considering donating to an organization I try to do some kind of research to have some kind of confidence they are ok, but if you recommend something I just go with it. I know that is sort of how trump supporters work..if trump says it's good it's good but you have never lied to us and, well, every time trump opens his mouth he lies and there is tons and tons of proof regarding that. Thank you for all you do and for continuing to remind us to get folks running in all elections.

So you're saying maybe authenticity could be a good way of flipping the script and actually connecting with real people? I'm in.

Michele, I love this strategy. From flipping the script on the door-to-door salespeople (whether they’re selling windows or their version of eternal peace) to flipping a district from red to blue because we change the approach and the expectations. Maybe not this cycle or the next, but change is gonna come. Good stuff.

I agree. I live way out in the country, and no one would come to my door (also big dog, very pot hole filled dirt road to get here) but boy if they did I'd love to use this strategy. When I used to babysit for my grandkids some churchy folks would come and usually I'd just tell them at the door I'm not interested, I'm a catholic and hold those beliefs (not quite true). I really wish I'd had the nerve to tell them I'm a member of the Church of Satan and invite them in to talk about converting, but this is a very small community and that would quickly get back to everyone and there would be repercussions for my grandchildren and myself. It's almost ok to be a Catholic...I'm still going to Hell but not really a bad person.

🤣 same! There was a group that showed up a while back and I asked who they were looking for and they said the owner of the house and I said if you don’t know who the owner of the house is then you were not invited & you’re trespassing so you need to leave right now. it is always amazing to live so rural & people just show up.
