Thank you for sharing this song - I love that the US Army Chorus sang it in the White House! I am so inspired by your uplifting post! 💜

Thank you, Lynn! I’m so glad their performance was as inspiring to you as it was to me. And I’m so happy to highlight these stories of resistance and action and regular people doing what they can to make their voices heard. We all have our part to play in this historic time… 💙

I watched it a few times yesterday and I was inspired by the bravery of the chorus as well...especially since the pres has decided to manage the Kennedy Center, where I saw Les Miserables when I was a federal employee. Onward and upward! Thanks for sharing this, Michele.

It's the perfect message – both in the lyrics of the song, and in the performance. I have a feeling I'll be playing in on a loop for the next several months... 💙

Watching that made me cry. But I’d love to know the back story. That song had to have been very intentionally chosen; by whom? And did Trump not get it?

Agree - hard to imagine the person who chose it didn’t understand that it would land in a unique way right now. But I don’t know who chose it.

On the way to school, my son and I discussed the meaning of the term “plausible deniability.”
